"One of my favorite parts of working as a nurse is the constant learning process, and seeing the smiles on patients' faces and knowing that I am making a positive difference in their lives."

Following in her aunt's footsteps, Holli Doherty had always dreamed of becoming a nurse. While she deferred pursuing this goal until her children were older, she eventually became an LPN and later obtained her RN degree to further her nursing education and career. Holli is the Assistant Director of Nursing and Staff Development Director at Wingate of Sharon, where staff, residents and family members appreciate her skills as an acute clinician with a proactive approach, who carries out her work with compassion, insight and a sense of humor. Adept at handling complicated situations, Holli continually strives to elevate her own skills and share what she has learned to benefit others. In support of her goal to become a Director of Nursing, Holli is enrolled in the RN to CS online program at the College of Nursing at the University of Nursing.

The Massachusetts Senior Care Foundation is grateful for the generosity of our donors, whose contributions have helped Holli and nearly 1,600 other outstanding men and women achieve their professional and personal goals in long term care.
