Leadership Programs

Overview:

The nurse manager is the core of managing high quality, sophisticated clinical care to older adults and people with disabilities. This role requires dynamic leadership skills and the ability to motivate others to achieve exceptional results.

Mass Senior Care offers two excellent programs to support the development of nurse leadership skills - an 8 - week intensive course for nursing leaders, and a one day workshop for nurses in supervisory roles.

Nursing Services Leadership Course - Strategies for Success - The Exceptional Nurse Leader

Mass Senior Care offers comprehensive nurse leadership training through an 8 - week course held annually in the spring and designed in collaboration with the Boston University School of Public Health. The program provides an opportunity to learn new skills, fine-tune existing knowledge, explore value-based leadership, and operationalize the skills and competencies needed to be a Nurse Leader in both long term care and sub-acute settings.

This program is geared for registered nurses who may be transitioning into the role of Director of Nursing Services, or Assistant Director, in long term care and for those practicing nurses considering future career development.

This 8-week program awards a Certificate of Completion from Boston University School of Public Health. Continuing Education credit will also be awarded.
