Nursing facilities provide quality, sophisticated medical care to diverse populations including rehab and sub-acute patients, long term care residents and those requiring specialty care. At the core of this care is the Director of Nursing Services (DNS), a job that requires dynamic leadership skills and the ability to motivate others to achieve exceptional results. The DNS must also be familiar with the latest changes in clinical care delivery and regulations and be able to manage a multi-disciplinary team model that delivers the highest quality of care to the individuals they serve.
Mass Senior Care offers both a 6-week course geared toward those transitioning into the Director of Nursing role in a long term care setting. We are also pleased to offer this 4-week workshop that provides an opportunity to learn new skills, fine-tune existing knowledge, explore values-based leadership and operationalize the skills and competencies that nurses in long term care need. This course is designed to equip frontline nursing staff to respond to increased patient acuity and clinical outcome expectations in a rapidly evolving and competitive health care delivery system.
